Education, Health & Care Plans

This page provides information about how to access help when concerns have been expressed about your child’s growth and development, or if your child has been identified with a condition.  Staff from health services, settings or schools may talk to you about getting further help.

Your first port of call might be the health professional, including your health visitor or doctor; nursery or school. They may refer on to another agency after discussing with you, the reasons for their recommendation.

There are different levels of need and support from education, health, social care and independent advice and support services.

We Need Your Feedback!!!

The link below gives parents and carers in Cumbria the opportunity to complete this online questionnaire to tell the LA about the service and support you have had from Children's Services as you have gone through the Education, Health and Care Plan process.  We would like to know what we do that is good and where we need to improve.  Please complete the form if you and your family have been through the EHC Plan process and would like to give us your feedback.

Families who have received a final EHC plan since September 2014 have been completing feedback forms and there are two reports summarising the feedback we have had so far, which are available for you to read and are located in the 'Related Documents' section (Nos 7 & 8) on the right-hand side.
