SEND Teaching Support Team (SEND TST) have a wide range of resources for supporting deaf children and young people…. from babies to young adults. These include resources supporting:
- Listening and attention
- Vocabulary development
- Grammatical development
- Speech articulation
- Pragmatics (use of language)
- Non- literal language
- Understanding and using questions
- Social and emotional development
- Reading- from early book making to developing higher order reading skills
- Phonological awareness and phonics skills
- Maths and numeracy
- Writing
- Early years to post 16 needs
- Understanding deafness and hearing loss
Resources can be loaned to schools and settings according to the needs of the deaf child or young person.
SEND TST also have a range of training materials available for schools and settings.
SEND TST will provide radio aid equipment when a deaf child/young person will benefit from it.
