The Hiking Household is a free website that showcases family walks within Cumbria. It is designed to be a go-to guide for families of all abilities who are keen to get outside with their brood.

The website offers a map of Cumbria highlighting where each walk is situated, along with a clear description of each walk. This will include information such as if the walk is pushchair accessible, if there is a car park on site and whether toilets and other various facilities are close by.

There is also a map of each walk showing you the route to take. Laura, mum of 4 young children, designed the website and so all routes are trialled and tested by a real family with small children in tow, making many of the walks extremely accessible.

Find out more at: www.thehikinghousehold.com

Laura also has a monthly newsletter that you are able to subscribe to on her website for further free walking ideas and tips on how to get children outside more.
