Musiclinks

MusicLinks is a registered charity. It has been run by a team of committed community musicians since 2002 with early support provided by The Westmorland Music Council. The purpose of the organisation is to engage with people of all ages, introducing them to new musical experiences. Over the years this has lead to a diversity of projects from The RFactor highlighting the benefits of recycling, to the Music Bus which visited festivals and other events for seven years profiling local talent. 

MusicLinks has won two national awards for innovation in the community and one for promoting green issues. In 2009 we set up Scribble Orchestra, the orchestra uses new media to engage with young people from all backgrounds, primarily those with SEN, to provide opportunities for collaboration, encouraging integration and tolerance.
