Outdoor activity days for family bubbles this spring and summer at Ghyll Head Outdoor Centre, Windermere Cumbria

Activities are accessible for all. The day will be designed around you. Contact the centre to discuss a program to make the best of the weather and activities on offer. Choose from lake activities such as; stand-up-paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and a motorboat ride. Explore our 17-acre site; which has a climbing wall, abseil, and zip wire. Navigate our orienteering course, learn some bushcraft skills, or enjoy a fire in our tipi. In Bowness at Glebe Park, we can offer; pitch and put, crazy golf, and football golf as options too. 


Timings. Arrive 9.30 depart 4.30pm

The site has a large car park for vehicles, and families are asked to park here on arrival. The main house is undergoing major renovations. The bungalow has an office/ reception. On arrival, a member of the instructional staff will come to the car park to meet you. Please wait in your vehicle.

We have received funding towards the activity days from short breaks. The cost does not include food or drinks. Please bring your own refreshments and lunch. There will be designated staff allocated to your group and in some cases, you may, as a parent carer, need to actively participate to support the activity.
