About RDA North Region

As its name implies the North Region covers the four most Northerly Counties of England from beautiful Cumbria in the West with its famous Lake District across the Pennines to County Durham in the East with its famous cathedral city, then North through the busy Tyne & Wear conurbation to Northumberland with its magnificent castles and beaches.

Apart from Tyne & Wear it is an area where sheep outnumber people. This makes visiting groups and getting together for meetings a pleasure as in all directions the scenery is breathtaking. It is over 200 miles from the South West of Cumbria to the North East of Northumberland.

Within this vast region there are 14 Groups offering riding and/or carriage driving for adults and/or children. The groups are separated into 3 County Areas, each with their own County Chairman and County Instructor.
