Inclusion Club at Carlisle Youth Zone

Inclusion Club
Inclusion Club is for anyone (aged 8-25) who may need additional support or prefers a calmer and smaller environment. Many of our members who attend inclusion club also attend our other clubs across the weeks. Information about these clubs can be found on our website.
The activities are similar across all our clubs, they just run in a slightly gentler and more focused environment in Inclusion Club. Staff and volunteers are on hand to tailor the activities so everyone can enjoy coming to Carlisle Youth Zone.
We have a wide range of young people accessing the sessions with many different needs, mild learning difficulties to more complex needs such as visual impairment and physical disabilities. Some young people also attend because they have anxiety issues or struggle in large groups, and some attend alongside their family or friends with a disability. Young people are given the opportunity to access a range of activities including sports, karaoke, arts & crafts, archery, climbing, cooking, music, gaming and much more.
Young people are able to access the sessions independently or if required they are able to come with carers or a family member.
Carlisle Youth Zone offers a range of accessible spaces including a sensory room, sports hall and climbing wall, accessible gym, dance studio, arts and crafts area, outdoor kick pitch and a large rec area.
All activities provided can be adapted to suit a range of abilities.
If you have any questions please contact our inclusion coordinator. Parents and carers can sign their children up as members on our website. Inclusion club sessions do not require booking, and young people are welcome to attend anytime between 10:00am and 1:00pm.
