Stanwix Community Pre-School
Stanwix Community Pre-School is an early years pre-school setting operating term time only. We are a charity organisation managed by a committee made up of our parents/carers.
We take children from the age of 2 years 6 months to the age of 4. We only accept 2 year old funded children, in exceptional circumstances.
We are open from 8:30am until 3:30pm and have a varied selection of sessional hours we can offer you during these times.
Children and parents/carers are well supported by highly qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated early years practitioners. Becky Clarkson and Rhona Hammond are the pre-school managers. All staff members hold a full and relevant level 3 in early years and hold a first aid paediatric certificate.
We have a clear vision for our pre-school and work hard to ensure that we create an inclusive environment where individuals are respected and valued. Our setting makes use of its space and resources to provide a range of varied and practical activities that help our children learn while they play.
We were rated 'good' in our 2017 Ofsted inspection

The continuity of care and learning for children is particularly strong, because parents and carers are made to feel very welcome in the setting and kept fully informed of their children's progress.

- We are aware of different dietary requirements and have had experience with children who are lactose intolerant. We have a special selection of snacks available. We also do not allow any form of nuts including peanut butter sandwiches in to the setting, as a precaution.
