Victoria Infant and Nursery School - Workington

School Vision and Values

At Victoria School we recognise that our Vision and Values support the personal development of all our pupils from 2 to 11years old which underpins their Educational journey as they move through each key-stage.

Children are our future.  We aim to promote high achievement and life-long learning for all.

Values and Vision

Achieve their full potential:

To know our children well enough to provide individual opportunities to develop an enquiring mind, a positive attitude and a mastery of skills in order for them to achieve their full potential.

Believe in themselves and respect others.

Develop and promote a sense of self-worth and a positive image in order to make informed choices that will strengthen their aspiration to be the best that they can be.

Learn Together

Challenge all pupils to achieve high standards becoming LITERATE, NUMERATE, confident independent and collaborative learners through an ACTIVE, HEALTHY, CREATIVE, TECHNOLOGICAL, GLOBAL, BOLD and RELEVANT CURRICULUM.

In order to deliver and achieve our Vision and Values we strive to provide a welcoming, calm, inclusive, safe, well organised, supportive, nurturing environment where all members of the school community show respect, understanding and tolerance of others and kindness and caring shines through.

We are committed to working with parents/ carers and community ensuring our continued development through a close partnership. We hope that you feel our warmth as you enter the school and feel that you will always be listened to, we care about your views. We aim to keep you informed and involve you in the education of your child through weekly newsletters, school app, regular social media updates and information on our website https://smex12-5-en-ctp.trendmicro.com:443/wis/clicktime/v1/query?url=www.victoriaschool.org.uk&umid=09f56549-0b92-4259-9cc0-28aac3839e02&auth=438558d5329f5814a0a31cfd8e89073841978136-87659d5855186a1acc7d14fed215d7f348aa5515

We have a very well-resourced indoor play area for the whole school where all children can access good quality resources and learn through collaboration and interacting with each other. We aim for parents to be frequently informed about their child’s progress and attainment. We provide four reports per year to share the children’s learning and development with their parents/ carers. We share these with parents to ensure you know how best to support your child.  We hope very much that parents will join us encouraging your child to work hard in pursuit of ever higher standards. Parents actively involved in their child’s education can have a positive impact upon the standards their child can achieve. Join with us for the benefit of your child.
