Poppies Child Care is a private day nursery providing care and education for babies and young children aged from 3 months  to 8 years. Offering competitive prices inclusive of snacks, meals, drinks and formula, nappies and wipes  

Situated alongside Lakes College Lillyhall, and opens weekdays 7:30am-6:00pm 50 weeks per year. In addition to full day care Poppies offers 'Bizzy Buddiez' holiday club, a play scheme provision during the school holiday periods for children aged 4-8 years and 'Poppy Tots' carer and child activity sessions for babies and tiny tots age 3 months to 2 years. 

The staff team of 10 are highly experienced with level 3 or above qualifications in child care and early years. Owner/Manager holds the Early Years Professional Status and level 6 BA Honours degree in child care. All staff have full enhanced DBS Disclosures and Paediatric First Aid certificates, and receive regular training in safeguarding and child welfare, health and safety, food safety and allergy awareness, equality and diversity, inclusion, and special educational needs. 

Poppies Child Care pride themselves on the provision of quality care, offering a home from home experience for every child, parent and family. Meeting individual needs through carefully planned activities and routines which coincide with the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' framework.

Poppies Child Care is divided into three key areas; firstly Little petals baby room specifically for babies and toddler aged 3 months - 2 years. Children in this room build strong attachments with three key staff who ensure continuity and a smooth transition into the toddler room. 

Secondly Little flowers toddler room for children aged 18 months - 4 years, this is a large spacious room providing both quiet activities and more messy energetic play, allowing all children time to investigate and explore at their own pace. In the toddler room 5 key staff ensure consistency of care and make good preparations for those children moving on to pre-school.

Thirdly is the large, secure outdoor play area with climbing frame, grassed, soft-pore and paved areas, as well as two undercover areas for use during rainy days. All babies and toddlers have ample opportunities to play outdoors during their day.
