Community Works: Eden & South Lakes Areas

Right2Work offer a supported vocational environment Community Works in the property maintenance sector for learners with learning disabilities. We have established a community service operating 6 days a week providing property maintenance to local schools and communities in South Lakeland and Eden.
Learners will benefit from a Job Coach to assist with integration into the working environment and ensuring personal Health and Safety. Learners will develop new skills appropriate to a vocational setting and some learners will complete Open Awards Skills in Further Learning and Employment as a minimum Entry Level 1.
The aim of this programme is to enable individuals to achieve their employment aspirations. The skills developed during their time with Community Works covers a range or areas such as time management, working in a team, understanding workplace behaviour, and understanding workplace policy and procedures as well as and layering on skills relevant to a job in the property maintenance sector.
