Cairn Education - improving the lives of Autistic individuals

Cairn education believes in creating learning and employment environments in which young people are able to flourish. We understand that young people need to be safe, valued and understood in order to thrive. Combining expertise in therapy and education, Cairn Education specialises in re-engagement programs for individuals struggling to access mainstream education services, by providing specialist assessment and individualised programmes that facilitate meeting aspirational goals.  At Carin Education young people become part of a strong community of active learners who are capable of amazing achievements.

We are a non-profit Community Interest Company founded by an Occupational Therapist and Teacher. We aim to provide unique, individualised and innovative programmes to improve the lives of Autistic individuals and/or individuals that have disengaged from mainstream education or employment in Cumbria.

Our work nationally seeks to develop societies understanding of neuro-diverse populations; the challenges encountered and the unique strengths, talents and potential of every individual. Through training and consultancy for healthcare professions, business and education providers we seek to create a society that creates opportunities and breaks down barriers.
