Plumbland CofE School

At Plumbland C of E School we aim to develop the full potential of every child in a happy, caring, stimulating environment. We will encourage the growth of independence, self-esteem, self-worth and a feeling of belonging to a community. Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.

The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils. The school seeks to ensure that no member of its community will suffer discrimination on the basis of their sex, racial origin, physical ability, religious belief or educational need.

Underpinning our formally taught curriculum we aim to develop the Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development of all children at Plumbland CE School. Through Collective Worship, assemblies, curriculum enrichment activities and linking with other schools we aim to ensure children become valuable members of their community and the wider global community. We are a 'healthy school' and through Science, P.E. PSHE and other areas of our curriculum we promote both physical and emotional well-being.

Local Offer

Plumbland CE School provides a broad and balanced curriculum for all children, differentiated to meet individual needs and abilities, and taking into account that each student has individual and unique needs.

Children may have SEND (Special Educational Needs or Disabilities) throughout, or at any time during their school life. This policy ensures that curriculum planning and assessment recognise the type and extent of the difficulty expressed by the student.

Teachers take into account in their planning all special educational needs within the class and the provision made enables each student to participate effectively in all curriculum and assessment activities, in addition to broader aspects of the school’s life.
