St Gregory's Catholic Primary School

St Gregory's is a happy, caring Christian community. There are no invisible people, all engage, many shine and everyone is encouraged to reach the stars! St Gregory's Catholic Primary school is a Voluntary Aided School serving St Gregory's Parish, Moorclose and the Diocese of Lancaster.

The school is situated in extensive, attractive grounds with a large playing field, hard play areas, outdoor play equipment, a foundation play area/garden and wildlife area.

The building itself is very well maintained with bright, attractive classrooms, large central hall and has recently undergone significant modernisation and refurbishment to the Foundation Stage Unit/KS1 classrooms. Other refurbishments include the addition of an administration block, library, conservatory, outdoor classrooms, ICT suite, air conditioning, new roof and boiler.

As a Catholic school, Gospel Values are central to the life of our school. We treat everyone as if they were a friend as they are made in God's image. We foster close links with the parish and also the wider community. At St Gregory's we place great emphasis on educating our children within the framework of Christ's teaching.

We aim to recognise and value all individuals within the school and the contribution they make to school life. We regard ourselves as a caring Christian family; we are all working together towards common goals as shown in our Mission Statement. We aim to provide the best education for our children in order for them to reach their potential and enable them to become responsible and caring future citizens.

Local Offer

St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School is an inclusive school. We ensure that pupils are included in all aspects of learning and school life. Support will be provided in school, often with the help of specialists from health and education. The decision to give extra support to a pupil will follow on from discussions with parents. The decision will be based on a variety of factors including academic progress, physical disability and social and emotional well-being. Support will be planned by school staff and where appropriate external professionals.
