St Patrick's CofE School

St Patrick's Church of England Primary School is a small, village primary school set in wonderful grounds looking over the Lakeland fells. Within the school there is a strong sense of community spirit and we are well supported by our parents, local church and village community.
We currently have three classes, with relatively small class sizes, so that all our children receive more individual support from their class teacher and teaching assistant. There is a strong family atmosphere within our school and as a Church of England school, we believe that it is important for our children to understand Christian values and how this helps us to care and value each other.
Learning should be fun and relevant to children's lives, so we teach through a themed approach with an exciting topic each term. Learning outside as well as indoors can inspire and engage children and we use our outdoor space very well for learning opportunities. We have fantastic grounds, including a pond and allotments for the children and our own chickens. All Foundation Stage and children in Year 1 have access to their own safely secured outdoor play area, which they love using no matter what the weather!
We are all very proud of our school and believe we provide a good all round educational experience for our children. If you ask any child within our school, they will tell you that they enjoy being here and love learning!
