St Joseph's Catholic High School

Since its foundation in 1929, the school has established a strong educational and caring tradition which continues today. The ethos of the school is based upon the Gospel values and ensures we are a caring and supportive community which nurtures the students as they grow into confident, independent and responsible young people. We are exceptionally proud of the achievements of our students. We recognise they are unique individuals with their own talents and it is our mission to provide an environment in which they will have fun, feel secure and ultimately succeed.
St Joseph’s is a happy and successful school. We are not huge and our size means that very quickly we will get to know your child well. We realise all children are different therefore we ensure they each receive individualised support and personalised provision. Our job as professional educators is to provide both and for that reason we only employ staff who are fully committed to our vision.
Behaviour and the students’ attitude to learning are exceptionally good and the school is described by visitors as being very calm yet purposeful. Our employees work extremely hard in creating learning experiences for our students that are interesting, active and challenging. Students at St Joseph’s are set high aspirational targets and are provided with a wide range of opportunities which will enable them to use and extend the skills and talents they have been blessed with.
