Prism Studio Theatre and Art Workshops - West Cumbria

Prism Arts runs weekly arts workshops for young people and adults with learning disabilities.

We take a multi art form approach; this means you will learn a range of new skills including filmmaking, movement, drama, visual arts and music.

During the year the group will work towards an exhibition or performance.

Workshops run weekly during term time, from 9:30am - 3:30pm. The group is currently based at Distington Community School.

At Prism Arts we believe that art is for everyone. Prism Arts has delivered great arts projects for people with disabilities for over 30 years.

Previously based at the Kirkgate Centre in Cockermouth, the group is currently undertaking a residency at Distington Community School: a fantastic opportunity for the group to teach and engage with children at the school. The opportunity arose out of the quality of the group's puppet performance, Dragon's Lantern, which they toured to the school.
