These are centres, mainly based in schools, offering courses beyond GCSE.  the majority of courses on offer are A levels, some centres offer level 2 courses.

The UCAS website: www.ucas.com not only enables you to apply for university - but it's also packed with information about option in year 11, what university is about and the mechanics of applying

Push - www.push.co.uk is a lading guide to UK universities, providing information on universities, student life, gap years, finance and many other things.

Which University has lots of information about what to study and where to go.

Apprenticeships

Many national and local companies recruit through Apprenticeships.gov.uk.  You can register then search and apply for vacancies.

Gen2 recruit apprentices for engineering, business admin, customer service, teaching assistants and other career paths.

You can also apply for apprenticeships with the following companies through GEN 2:

Other apprenticeships are available through JTL Training who recruit and train electrical and plumbing apprentices for construction companies, they also train for:

Degree apprenticeships can be done at National College for Nuclear.
