Special Educational Needs and Disabilities - Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing - Online Survey

Organisations in Cumbria are trying to improve their understanding of children and young people (0-25 years) with SEND, particularly autism, who have mental health/emotional wellbeing needs. This was highlighted as an area of weakness in the feedback from the SEND Inspectors.

We have gathered information from services and what some families have told us and put them together in one document. We are going to share this document with Senior Leaders to improve their understanding of the needs of these children and young people who need our support.

We would like to invite parents and carers to read this document and let us know if there is anything we have missed or if there is a message they would like to give to our Senior Leaders by filling in this short survey.

The document is available in several different versions including a Summary, an easy read version and a full extended version which includes the data from the services as well by using the link below:

The survey below has two sections, the first is where you tell us your thoughts and the second is about you and your personal circumstances. You are not obliged to answer the questions in part two but if you are able to do so it would help us to better understand the range of people responding to the survey and whether we are capturing the views of all our community.

The survey will be open until 7 September 2020. After this all the results will be analysed and used to update the document.

Thank you in advance for your help.
