Carlisle Libraries News

Welcome back!

Cumbria Libraries reopen from Monday 12th April and we can't wait to welcome you back!

This means that book browsing, borrowing and returns will be available as well as the key services we have continued to deliver throughout lockdown - select and collect, online services and home delivery services.

Our safety measures are still in place for staff and customers but browsing and general PC use has returned. PC booking is advised, by calling 01228 227317 Mon-Fri 9.30am-4.30pm with your library card number.

Carlisle area libraries - Local Studies Library

Also from 12th April, the Local Studies and Jackson Library will reopen at Carlisle.

Keeping everyone safe is a priority, so there will be some new procedures to follow, but we're looking forward to welcoming you back.

• Numbers using the area are restricted
• Sessions up to a maximum of 90 minutes are available.
• Pre booking is essential, and we need to know in advance which items from the Jackson Library you require in order to have them ready.

We will also have a limited number of study spaces available for pre-booked 90 minute sessions.

Call 01228 227317 or e mail Carlisle.library@cumbria.gov.uk to book a study space or make a Local Studies appointment.
