Two Day Support from the Regional Preparation for Adulthood (PFA) Co-ordinator from the national PFA Team to Support Our Work in Developing PFA
Do you have or support a child with SEND in Y5; Y9 or Y11?
We have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity of two days support from the regional Preparation for Adulthood (PfA) Co-ordinator from the national PfA Team to support our work in developing PfA.
The sessions are to carry out a deep dive into our Education, Health and Care Plans for young people in Year 5, 9 & 11 to help better understand where we are and identify the next steps we need to take.
Refreshments, including a light lunch, will be provided.
These workshops will take place at:
Please note: There are limited places so please book as soon as possible to secure your place.
We would encourage as many people as possible to attend from mainstream and special schools, colleges, alternative provision, health and social care colleagues and any setting who works with and support young people.
SEND Engagement Sessions
Do you have or support a child/children & young person with special educational needs?
The Local Offer should set out in one place all the information about the support and opportunities available for children and young people in Cumbria (from 0-25 years) who have Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
We know that many parents, carers and professionals don’t know what the Local Offer is, its name doesn’t make it obvious and they find it difficult to access information that could help them.
We are looking to improve our Local Offer in Cumbria and we need as many people as possible – parents, carers, professionals and young people, to help us build the information and service information you and our community needs.
Cumbria's SEND Improvement Board - co-production group are looking to set up engagement sessions around the County. To find out more please use the calendar or follow the below link:
